The folder and file does not exist. "PEAR/Exception.php" within the tar file.

Here is a solution.

Go here and download the needed code.

Go to this folder "/include/mpd". Then create this folder PEAR and place the php file "Exception.php" you download into that folder.

because I dont need pear anymore I removed all pear functions. Unfortunately I forgot one include-line. Get the latest download from sourceforge and the error will disappear.

for some reason i get a blank page when i go http://localhost/relaxx after following the installation instructions.

e. schmidbauer, what do you see when you go to the ip address or hostname of the computer?

Type this in the browser http:/192.168.X.X and tell me what you see.

http:/192.168.X.X is the full ip address of the computer so you will have to get rid of the "X"s

I have a strange problem with this version:
i can't browse my music, i can't see sub-directory.
I have this in my log:
[error] PHP Notice: Undefined index: directory in /htdocs/relaxx/include/controller-database.php on line 37
[error] PHP Notice: Undefined index: playlist in /htdocs/relaxx/include/mpd/Playlist.php on line 42

strange... the error is in the php-mpd lib.
mpd does not return a valid playlist-string for the root directory.
Normally its false if no playlist. But maybe you have unsufficient rights to the lsinfo command. Meanwhile try to change line 41 in playlist.php to:

return false;

Now you can not use the playlist function.
Can you send me your mpd.conf?
Is the path to the playlists set correctly.

so I just tried out Xmms2

I've been using MPD on my mythbox for a while to control my stereo with out having to power up the projector (the screen on the mythbox) just to listen to some music.

So after setting and listening to both, I have to say that MPD sounds much better, xmms2 seems to skip, and pause alot, like there is network latency, but that isn't the issue cause it happens on local files, and my network connection doesn't studder that bad while streaming video.
